The AHM-16 is the entry point into Allen & Heath’s AHM family of audio matrix processors, built around a 16×16 processing matrix with 8 local mic/line inputs and 8 relay-protected line outputs on Phoenix connectors. Despite its compact size, it inherits the same 96kHz FPGA core and processing toolkit as the larger AHM-32 and AHM-64, including an Automatic Mic Mixer, Ambient Noise Compensation, priority ducking, 8-band parametric EQ and dynamics on every input and zone, and full speaker processing with crossover, delay, limiter and EQ. An I/O port accepts an optional Dante, SLink, MADI or Waves card for networking up to 128×128 channels and connection to Allen & Heath’s Everything I/O expanders. Control is available via a front panel screen with 4 SoftKeys, up to 96 networked IP remote controllers, GPIO, third-party Crestron/AMX/Extron integration, or the customisable, BYOD-friendly Custom Control app, making AHM-16 well suited to bars, restaurants, shops, boardrooms and school halls.
