Allen & Heath SQ-Rack 48-Channel Faderless Digital Mixer

SQ-Rack delivers the full mixing power of Allen & Heath’s SQ series in a faderless, 4U rack-mountable chassis built around the 96kHz XCVI FPGA engine. It provides 16 onboard mic preamps and 3 stereo line inputs locally, with the SLink port allowing expansion up to 48 mic inputs via Allen & Heath’s Everything I/O expanders. Control is handled through an on-unit fader screen with 8 SoftKeys and 4 Soft Rotaries, or remotely via the SQ MixPad app for full mixing control and the simplified SQ Control app for restricted access. Every input has a high-pass filter, fast gate, 4-band parametric EQ and compressor, while 8 stereo FX engines provide the RackExtra effects library on dedicated returns. A built-in Automatic Mic Mixer supports two independent 24-channel zones or a combined 48-channel setup for conferences and multi-speaker events, and an I/O card slot accepts Dante, MADI, SLink or Waves networking cards for integration into larger systems.
